The Prophet ﷺ said to Ubayy, "Allah has commanded me to recite the Quran to you."Ubayy asked, "Did Allah mention me to you by name?"He replied, "Allah named you to me."At this, Ubayy began to weep.Qatada said, "I was informed that he recited to him 'Those who disbelieved from among the People of the Scripture...' [Bayyinah 98:1]."
حدثنا حسان بن حسان حدثنا همام عن قتادة
قال النبي ﷺ لأبي إن الله أمرني أن أقرأ عليك القرآن قال أبي أالله سماني لك قال الله سماك لي فجعل أبي يبكي قال قتادة فأنبئت أنه قرأ عليه {لم يكن الذين كفروا من أهل الكتاب}
