I had wanted to ask Umar about the two women who had supported one another against the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I waited a whole year without finding a suitable opportunity, until I went out with him on the pilgrimage. When we reached Zahran, Umar went off to relieve himself and said, "Catch up to me with water for ablution."So I caught up to him carrying the water vessel and began pouring water for him. Seeing my chance, I said, "Commander of the Believers, who were the two women who supported one another against the Prophet ﷺ?"Ibn Abbas said, "Before I had even finished my question, he replied, 'Ayesha and Hafsa.'"
