He traced it back to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "In Paradise there is a tree whose shade a rider can travel through for a hundred years without crossing it. Recite, if you wish, 'And extended shade' [Waqiah 56:30]."
حدثنا علي بن عبد الله حدثنا سفيان عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
يبلغ به النبي ﷺ قال إن في الجنة شجرة يسير الراكب في ظلها مائة عام لا يقطعها واقرءوا إن شئتم {وظل ممدود}
