He used to pray facing the small hill at the bend of al-Ruhaa. The edge of that hill ends at the side of the road, before the mosque that stands between it and the bend as you head toward Makkah. A mosque was later built there, but Abdullah bin Umar would not pray in that mosque. He would leave it on his left and behind him, and pray in front of it, facing the hill itself.Abdullah would set out from al-Ruhaa and not perform the Zuhr prayer until he reached that spot, where he would pray Zuhr. When returning from Makkah, if he passed by it an hour before dawn or in the last part of the night, he would halt there and rest until he prayed Fajr at that place.

كان يصلي إلى العرق الذي عند منصرف الروحاء وذلك العرق انتهاء طرفه على حافة الطريق دون المسجد الذي بينه وبين المنصرف وأنت ذاهب إلى مكة وقد ابتني ثم مسجد فلم يكن عبد الله بن عمر يصلي في ذلك المسجد كان يتركه عن يساره ووراءه ويصلي أمامه إلى العرق نفسه وكان عبد الله يروح من الروحاء فلا يصلي الظهر حتى يأتي ذلك المكان فيصلي فيه الظهر وإذا أقبل من مكة فإن مر به قبل الصبح بساعة أو من آخر السحر عرس حتى يصلي بها الصبح
