The verse in the Quran which says, "Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner" [Ahzab 33:45], appears in the Torah as follows, "Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings, and a refuge for the unlettered. You are My servant and My messenger. I have named you al-Mutawakkil. He is neither harsh nor coarse, nor does he raise his voice in the marketplaces. He does not repel evil with evil, but rather pardons and forgives. Allah will not take his soul until He sets straight through him the crooked creed, so that they say, 'There is no god but Allah,' and through this declaration He opens blind eyes, deaf ears, and sealed hearts."
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة حدثنا عبد العزيز بن أبي سلمة عن هلال بن أبي هلال عن عطاء بن يسار
أن هذه الآية التي في القرآن يا أيها النبي {إنا أرسلناك شاهدا ومبشرا ونذيرا} قال في التوراة يا أيها النبي إنا أرسلناك شاهدا ومبشرا وحرزا للأميين أنت عبدي ورسولي سميتك المتوكل ليس بفظ ولا غليظ ولا سخاب بالأسواق ولا يدفع السيئة بالسيئة ولكن يعفو ويصفح ولن يقبضه الله حتى يقيم به الملة العوجاء بأن يقولوا لا إله إلا الله فيفتح بها أعينا عميا وآذانا صما وقلوبا غلفا
