I saw Salim bin Abdullah seeking out specific spots along the road and praying at them. He related that his father used to pray at those spots, and that he had seen the Prophet ﷺ praying at those very places.Nafi also told me that Ibn Umar used to pray at those spots. I asked Salim about them, and as far as I know he agreed with Nafi about every one of the locations, except that the two differed concerning a mosque at the elevated ground of ar-Rawha.
