She informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to her when Allah commanded him to give his wives the choice. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ began with her and said, "I am going to mention a matter to you, and there is no need for you to hasten until you consult your parents." He knew that my parents would never have instructed me to leave him.She said, then he said, "Allah has said, 'Prophet, say to your wives...'" until the completion of the two verses.I said to him, "About which part of this should I consult my parents? I choose Allah, His Messenger, and the abode of the Hereafter."
حدثنا أبو اليمان أخبرنا شعيب عن الزهري قال أخبرني أبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن أن
أخبرته أن رسول الله ﷺ جاءها حين أمره الله أن يخير أزواجه فبدأ بي رسول الله ﷺ فقال إني ذاكر لك أمرا فلا عليك أن لا تستعجلي حتى تستأمري أبويك وقد علم أن أبوي لم يكونا يأمراني بفراقه قالت ثم قال إن الله قال {يا أيها النبي قل لأزواجك} إلى تمام الآيتين فقلت له ففي أي هذا أستأمر أبوي فإني أريد الله ورسوله والدار الآخرة
