Ikrima reported,

Ibn Abbas said regarding the verse "And We did not make the vision We showed you except as a trial for the people", "It was a vision seen with the eye, which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was shown on the night he was taken on the night journey." And regarding "and the accursed tree", he said it is the tree of Zaqqum.
