Ibn Abbas said regarding Surahs Bani Israil, al-Kahf, and Maryam, "They are among the earliest and most excellent surahs, and they are among my treasured possessions."Concerning the verse "They will shake their heads at you", Ibn Abbas explained that it means they will wag them. Others said the expression "your tooth has naghadat" means it has become loose and shaky.

في بني إسرائيل والكهف ومريم إنهن من العتاق الأول وهن من تلادي {فسينغضون إليك رءوسهم} قال ابن عباس يهزون وقال غيره نغضت سنك أي تحركت
