When the verse "Not equal are those believers who sit at home" [Nisa 4:95] was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called Zayd, who wrote it down. Then Ibn Umm Maktum came and complained about his blindness, so Allah revealed "except those who are disabled" [Nisa 4:95].
حدثنا حفص بن عمر حدثنا شعبة عن أبي إسحاق
لما نزلت {لا يستوي القاعدون من المؤمنين} دعا رسول الله ﷺ زيدا فكتبها فجاء ابن أم مكتوم فشكا ضرارته فأنزل الله {غير أولي الضرر}
