We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Some of us entered the state of ihram for umrah, some for hajj, and some for both hajj and umrah together, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered ihram for hajj. Those who had entered ihram for hajj alone, or had combined hajj and umrah, did not exit ihram until the Day of Sacrifice.Abdullah bin Yusuf narrated to us that Malik informed them, with the wording, "with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Farewell Pilgrimage."Ismail narrated to us that Malik reported the same.
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة عن مالك عن أبي الأسود محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن نوفل عن عروة
خرجنا مع رسول الله ﷺ فمنا من أهل بعمرة ومنا من أهل بحجة ومنا من أهل بحج وعمرة وأهل رسول الله ﷺ بالحج فأما من أهل بالحج أو جمع الحج والعمرة فلم يحلوا حتى يوم النحر حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف أخبرنا مالك وقال مع رسول الله ﷺ في حجة الوداع حدثنا إسماعيل حدثنا مالك مثله
