The Prophet ﷺ said to me, "Will you not relieve me of Dhul-Khalasa?" It was a house in Khathaam called the Yemeni Kaabah.So I set out with one hundred and fifty horsemen from Ahmas. They were skilled riders, but I could not sit firmly on a horse. So he struck me on the chest until I saw the marks of his fingers on my chest, and he said, "O Allah, make him steady, and make him a guide who is rightly guided."So he set out toward it, broke it down, and burned it. Then he sent word to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Jareer's messenger said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, I did not come to you until I had left it like a mangy camel."So he invoked blessings upon the horses of Ahmas and Some men five times.
حدثنا محمد بن المثنى حدثنا يحيى حدثنا إسماعيل حدثنا قيس قال قال لي
لي النبي ﷺ ألا تريحني من ذي الخلصة وكان بيتا في خثعم يسمى الكعبة اليمانية فانطلقت في خمسين ومائة فارس من أحمس وكانوا أصحاب خيل وكنت لا أثبت على الخيل فضرب في صدري حتى رأيت أثر أصابعه في صدري وقال اللهم ثبته واجعله هاديا مهديا فانطلق إليها فكسرها وحرقها ثم بعث إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال رسول جرير والذي بعثك بالحق ما جئتك حتى تركتها كأنها جمل أجرب قال فبارك في خيل أحمس ورجالها خمس مرات
