Mujahid reported,

I said to Ibn Umar, and he replied that there is no migration today, or after the Messenger of Allah ﷺMujahid reported, I said to Ibn Umar ا, "I want to migrate to Syria."He said, "There is no migration now, but there is jihad. So set out, offer yourself, and if you find something, take it, and if not, come back."
