Ayesha reported,

When news arrived of the death of Ibn Haritha, Jafar bin Ubayy Talib, and Abdullah bin Rawaha , the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat down with grief visible on his face.Ayesha said, "I was peering through a crack in the door when a man came to him and said, 'Messenger of Allah, the women of Jafar...'" and he mentioned their weeping. The Prophet ﷺ ordered him to forbid them.The man went off and then returned, saying, "I forbade them," and he mentioned that they did not obey him.The Prophet ﷺ ordered him again, so he went off and came back, saying, "By Allah, they have overwhelmed us."Ayesha claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Throw dust into their mouths."Ayesha said, "I told him, 'May Allah rub your nose in the dirt. By Allah, you will not do it, and you have not stopped exhausting the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'"

عائشة رضي الله عنها تقول

لما جاء قتل ابن حارثة وجعفر بن أبي طالب وعبد الله بن رواحة رضي الله عنهم جلس رسول الله ﷺ يعرف فيه الحزن قالت عائشة وأنا أطلع من صائر الباب تعني من شق الباب فأتاه رجل فقال أي رسول الله إن نساء جعفر قال وذكر بكاءهن فأمره أن ينهاهن قال فذهب الرجل ثم أتى فقال قد نهيتهن وذكر أنه لم يطعنه قال فأمر أيضا فذهب ثم أتى فقال والله لقد غلبننا فزعمت أن رسول الله ﷺ قال فاحث في أفواههن من التراب قالت عائشة فقلت أرغم الله أنفك فوالله ما أنت تفعل وما تركت رسول الله ﷺ من العناء
