The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived along with his companions, and the polytheists said, "A delegation is coming to you whom the fever of Yathrib has weakened."The Prophet ﷺ ordered them to jog briskly during three of the circuits and to walk between the two corners. Nothing prevented him from commanding them to jog during all the circuits except his concern to spare them.Abu Abdullah said, Ibn Salama added, from Ayub, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said, "When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in the year for which he had secured safe passage, he said, 'Jog briskly, so that the polytheists may see your strength.'" The polytheists were watching from the direction of Quayqian.
حدثنا سليمان بن حرب حدثنا حماد هو ابن زيد عن أيوب عن سعيد بن جبير
قدم رسول الله ﷺ وأصحابه فقال المشركون إنه يقدم عليكم وفد وهنهم حمى يثرب وأمرهم النبي ﷺ أن يرملوا الأشواط الثلاثة وأن يمشوا ما بين الركنين ولم يمنعه أن يأمرهم أن يرملوا الأشواط كلها إلا الإبقاء عليهم قال أبو عبد الله وزاد ابن سلمة عن أيوب عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس قال لما قدم النبي ﷺ لعامه الذي استأمن قال ارملوا ليرى المشركون قوتهم والمشركون من قبل قعيقعان
