The Prophet ﷺ sent a man of Banu Adi from the Ansar to Khaybar and appointed him in charge of it.And from Abdul-Majid, from Abu Salih Samman, from Abu Hurairah and Abu Saeed, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed a man over Khaybar, and the man brought him some fine quality dates.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Are all the dates of Khaybar like this?"He replied, "No, by Allah, Messenger of Allah. We take one measure of these in exchange for two measures, and two measures in exchange for three."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not do that. Sell the mixed dates for silver coins, then buy the fine dates with the coins."
وقال عبد العزيز بن محمد عن عبد المجيد عن سعيد أن أبا سعيد وأبا هريرة حدثاه أن النبي ﷺ بعث أخا بني عدي من الأنصار إلى خيبر فأمره عليها وعن عبد المجيد عن أبي صالح السمان عن أبي هريرة وأبي سعيد مثله
