The Messenger of Allah ﷺ held a race between the horses that had been trained by reduced feeding, starting from al-Hafya and ending at Thaniyat al-Wada. He also held a race between the horses that had not been trained in this manner, starting from the Thaniyah and ending at the mosque of Banu Zurayq. Abdullah bin Umar was among those who raced in it.
حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف قال أخبرنا مالك عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ سابق بين الخيل التي أضمرت من الحفياء وأمدها ثنية الوداع وسابق بين الخيل التي لم تضمر من الثنية إلى مسجد بني زريق وأن عبد الله بن عمر كان فيمن سابق بها
