Anas bin Malik reported regarding the verse "Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory" [Fath 48:1] that it refers to Hudaybiya. His companions said, "How pleasant and wholesome this is for you. But what is there for us?"So Allah revealed, "That He may admit the believing men and believing women into gardens beneath which rivers flow" [Fath 48:5].Shuba said, "I went to Kufa and related all of this on the authority of Qatada. Then I returned and mentioned it to him, and he said, 'As for "Indeed, We have granted you" [Fath 48:1], that is from Anas. But as for "How pleasant and wholesome," that is from Ikrima.'"
