Abu Bakr asked the Prophet's ﷺ permission to emigrate when the persecution against him became severe. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Stay."Abu Bakr asked, "Messenger of Allah, do you hope that you will be granted permission?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would reply, "I do hope for that."So Abu Bakr waited for him. Then one day, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to him at midday and called out to him, saying, "Send away those who are with you."Abu Bakr replied, "They are only my two daughters."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Are you aware that I have been granted permission to emigrate?"Abu Bakr asked, "Will I have your companionship, Messenger of Allah?"The Prophet ﷺ said, "Yes, the companionship."Abu Bakr said, "Messenger of Allah, I have two she-camels which I had prepared for the journey." So he gave one of them, namely al-Jadaa, to the Prophet ﷺ. They both mounted and set off until they reached the cave at Mount Thawr, where they hid themselves.Amir bin Fuhayra was a slave belonging to Abdullah bin Tufayl bin Sakhbara, Ayesha's maternal brother. Abu Bakr had a milking she-camel, and Amir would take it out to pasture in the evening and bring it back in the morning. He would set out before dawn to bring it to the two of them, then drive it to pasture so that none of the shepherds would notice him. When the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr departed, Amir went with them, alternating in riding behind one of them, until they reached Medina. Amir bin Fuhayra was killed on the day of Bir Mauna.Abu Usama reported that Hisham bin Urwa said, My father informed me, "When those at Bir Mauna were killed and Amr bin Umaya al-Damri was taken captive, Amir bin Tufayl said to him, pointing to one of the slain, 'Who is this?'Amr bin Umaya replied to him, 'This is Amir bin Fuhayra.'Amir bin Tufayl said, 'I saw him after he was killed, lifted up to the sky, until I could see the sky between him and the earth. Then he was set down.'"News of them reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he announced their deaths, saying, "Your companions have been struck down, and they asked their Lord, saying, 'Our Lord, inform our brothers about us, that we are pleased with You and You are pleased with us.' So He informed them about them."Among those killed that day was Urwa bin Asma bin al-Salt, after whom Urwa was named, and Mundhir bin Amr, after whom Mundhir was named.
حدثنا عبيد بن إسماعيل حدثنا أبو أسامة عن هشام عن أبيه
استأذن النبي ﷺ أبو بكر في الخروج حين اشتد عليه الأذى فقال له أقم فقال يا رسول الله أتطمع أن يؤذن لك فكان رسول الله ﷺ يقول إني لأرجو ذلك قالت فانتظره أبو بكر فأتاه رسول الله ﷺ ذات يوم ظهرا فناداه فقال أخرج من عندك فقال أبو بكر إنما هما ابنتاي فقال أشعرت أنه قد أذن لي في الخروج فقال يا رسول الله الصحبة فقال النبي ﷺ الصحبة قال يا رسول الله عندي ناقتان قد كنت أعددتهما للخروج فأعطى النبي ﷺ إحداهما وهي الجدعاء فركبا فانطلقا حتى أتيا الغار وهو بثور فتواريا فيه فكان عامر بن فهيرة غلاما لعبد الله بن الطفيل بن سخبرة أخو عائشة لأمها وكانت لأبي بكر منحة فكان يروح بها ويغدو عليهم ويصبح فيدلج إليهما ثم يسرح فلا يفطن به أحد من الرعاء فلما خرج خرج معهما يعقبانه حتى قدما المدينة فقتل عامر بن فهيرة يوم بئر معونة وعن أبي أسامة قال قال هشام بن عروة فأخبرني أبي قال لما قتل الذين ببئر معونة وأسر عمرو بن أمية الضمري قال له عامر بن الطفيل من هذا فأشار إلى قتيل فقال له عمرو بن أمية هذا عامر بن فهيرة فقال لقد رأيته بعد ما قتل رفع إلى السماء حتى إني لأنظر إلى السماء بينه وبين الأرض ثم وضع فأتى النبي ﷺ خبرهم فنعاهم فقال إن أصحابكم قد أصيبوا وإنهم قد سألوا ربهم فقالوا ربنا أخبر عنا إخواننا بما رضينا عنك ورضيت عنا فأخبرهم عنهم وأصيب يومئذ فيهم عروة بن أسماء بن الصلت فسمي عروة به ومنذر بن عمرو سمي به منذرا
