Muaz bin Rifa reported,

An angel asked the Prophet ﷺ something similar.Yahya reported that Yazid bin al-Had informed him that he was with him on the day Muaz related this hadith. Yazid said that Muaz said, "The questioner was Jibreel ."

حدثنا إسحاق بن منصور أخبرنا يزيد أخبرنا يحيى سمع

معاذ بن رفاعة

أن ملكا سأل النبي ﷺ نحوه وعن يحيى أن يزيد بن الهاد أخبره أنه كان معه يوم حدثه معاذ هذا الحديث فقال يزيد فقال معاذ إن السائل هو جبريل عليه السلام
