On the day of Uhud, the Prophet ﷺ placed Abdullah bin Jubayr in command of the archers. The enemy inflicted seventy casualties upon us. The Prophet ﷺ and his companions had previously inflicted one hundred and forty losses upon the polytheists on the day of Badr, seventy captives and seventy killed.Abu Sufyan said, "A day for the day of Badr, and war goes by turns."
