Abu Minhal reported,

A partner of mine sold some silver coins in the market on deferred payment, so I said, "Glory be to Allah, is this permissible?"He replied, "Glory be to Allah, by Allah, I sold them in the market and no one objected to it."So I asked Bara bin Azib, who said, "The Prophet ﷺ arrived while we were engaged in this kind of transaction, and he said, 'Whatever is hand to hand, there is no harm in it, but whatever is on deferred payment is not permissible.' Go to Zayd bin Arqam and ask him, for he was the greatest of us in trade."So I asked Zayd bin Arqam, and he said the same thing.Sufyan once narrated it saying, "The Prophet ﷺ came to us in Medina while we were engaged in trade." And he said, "On deferred payment until the season," or "until the Hajj."
