Bara bin Azib reported,

The first to arrive among us were Musab bin Umayr and Ibn Umm Maktum, and they used to teach the people to recite the Quran. Then came Bilal, Saad, and Ammar bin Yasir. After them, Umar bin Khattab arrived with twenty of the Prophet's ﷺ companions. Finally, the Prophet ﷺ himself arrived. I never saw the people of Medina rejoice over anything as much as they rejoiced over the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, to the point that even the slave girls were saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has come!" By the time he arrived, I had already learned to recite "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" along with other surahs from the Mufassal section.
