Umm Habiba and Umm Salama mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ a church they had seen in Abyssinia which contained images. He said, "When a righteous man among those people died, they would build a place of worship over his grave and paint these images in it. Those are the worst of creation in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثني محمد بن المثنى حدثنا يحيى عن هشام قال حدثني أبي
أن أم حبيبة وأم سلمة ذكرتا كنيسة رأينها بالحبشة فيها تصاوير فذكرتا للنبي ﷺ فقال إن أولئك إذا كان فيهم الرجل الصالح فمات بنوا على قبره مسجدا وصوروا فيه تيك الصور أولئك شرار الخلق عند الله يوم القيامة
