Abu Hurairah used to carry a small water vessel for the Prophet ﷺ to use for his ablution and to relieve himself. Once, while Abu Hurairah was following him with it, the Prophet ﷺ asked, "Who is this?"Abu Hurairah replied, "It is I, Abu Hurairah."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Fetch me some stones so I can clean myself with them, but do not bring me a bone or dung."So I brought him some stones, carrying them in the edge of my garment until I placed them beside him, then I withdrew. When he had finished, I walked along with him and asked, "What is the matter with bones and dung?"He said, "They are food for the jinn. A delegation of jinn from Nasibin came to me, and what excellent jinn they were. They asked me for provision, so I prayed to Allah that they would not pass by any bone or dung without finding food upon it."
