The people of pre-Islamic times used to sell the meat of slaughter camels on credit until the term of habal al-habalah. He explained that habal al-habalah meant that a she-camel would deliver what was in her womb, and then the newborn she-camel would herself become pregnant. The Prophet ﷺ forbade them from such transactions.

كان أهل الجاهلية يتبايعون لحوم الجزور إلى حبل الحبلة قال وحبل الحبلة أن تنتج الناقة ما في بطنها ثم تحمل التي نتجت فنهاهم النبي ﷺ عن ذلك
