Ayesha reported,

A black woman who had been a slave of some Arabs embraced Islam, and she had a small hut in the mosque.Ayesha said, "She used to come to us and chat with us, and whenever she finished her conversation, she would say, 'The day of the sash was one of the wonders of our Lord. Indeed, He delivered me from the land of disbelief.'"When she repeated this often, Ayesha asked her, "What is the day of the sash?"She replied, "A young slave girl belonging to one of my masters' household went out wearing a leather sash, and it fell from her. A kite swooped down on it, thinking it was a piece of meat, and snatched it up. They accused me of taking it, and they tortured me until matters reached the point that they searched my private parts. While they were gathered around me and I was in my distress, the kite suddenly came and hovered level with our heads, then dropped the sash. They picked it up, and I said to them, 'This is what you accused me of taking, and I was innocent of it.'"
