When he went out with him to Walid, he said that the Prophet ﷺ invited the Ansar to grant them Bahrain as a land grant. They said, "No, unless you grant our brothers from the Muhajirun the same."He replied, "If you refuse, then be patient until you meet me, for after me you will face favoritism shown to others over you."

حين خرج معه إلى الوليد قال دعا النبي ﷺ الأنصار إلى أن يقطع لهم البحرين فقالوا لا إلا أن تقطع لإخواننا من المهاجرين مثلها قال إما لا فاصبروا حتى تلقوني فإنه سيصيبكم بعدي أثرة
