A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about praying in a single garment. He replied, "Does every one of you find two garments?"Later, a man asked Umar the same question, and he answered, "When Allah grants abundance, then dress amply. A man should gather his garments upon himself. Let a man pray in a waist-wrapper and a shawl, or in a waist-wrapper and a shirt, or in a waist-wrapper and an outer robe, or in trousers and a shawl, or in trousers and a shirt, or in trousers and an outer robe, or in short trousers and an outer robe, or in short trousers and a shirt."The narrator said, "And I think he also said, in short trousers and a shawl."

قام رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فسأله عن الصلاة في الثوب الواحد فقال أوكلكم يجد ثوبين ثم سأل رجل عمر فقال إذا وسع الله فأوسعوا جمع رجل عليه ثيابه صلى رجل في إزار ورداء في إزار وقميص في إزار وقباء في سراويل ورداء في سراويل وقميص في سراويل وقباء في تبان وقباء في تبان وقميص قال وأحسبه قال في تبان ورداء
