The Messenger of Allah ﷺ reached Khaybar in the early morning. Its people had gone out carrying their digging tools, and when they saw him they cried, "Muhammad and his army!" and they rushed back toward the fortress. The Prophet ﷺ raised his hands and said, "Allah is the greatest. Khaybar is ruined. When we descend upon a people's territory, evil is the morning of those who have been warned."
حدثنا علي بن عبد الله حدثنا سفيان حدثنا أيوب عن محمد سمعت
صبح رسول الله ﷺ خيبر بكرة وقد خرجوا بالمساحي فلما رأوه قالوا محمد والخميس وأحالوا إلى الحصن يسعون فرفع النبي ﷺ يديه وقال الله أكبر خربت خيبر إنا إذا نزلنا بساحة قوم فساء صباح المنذرين
