Hassan asked the Prophet ﷺ for permission to compose satirical verses against the polytheists.The Prophet ﷺ said, "But what about my lineage, since I share ancestry with them?"Hassan replied, "I will pull you out from among them as a hair is pulled out from dough."His father reported, "I once began to insult Hassan in the presence of Ayesha, but she said, 'Do not insult him, for he used to defend the Prophet ﷺ.'"

استأذن حسان النبي ﷺ في هجاء المشركين قال كيف بنسبي فقال حسان لأسلنك منهم كما تسل الشعرة من العجين وعن أبيه قال ذهبت أسب حسان عند عائشة فقالت لا تسبه فإنه كان ينافح عن النبي ﷺ
