When the final illness descended upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he began to throw a striped cloak over his face, and when he felt suffocated, he would uncover his face. While in that state, he said, "May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians. They took the graves of their prophets as places of worship," warning against what they had done.
