Abu Dharr reported,

He related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The roof of my house was opened while I was in Mecca. Jibreel descended and split open my chest, then washed it with Zamzam water. He then brought a golden basin filled with wisdom and faith, poured its contents into my chest, and closed it up. Then he took me by the hand and ascended with me to the heaven.When he reached the lowest heaven, Jibreel said to its keeper, 'Open up.'The keeper asked, 'Who is this?'He replied, 'This is Jibreel.'The keeper asked, 'Is anyone with you?'He answered, 'Muhammad is with me.'The keeper asked, 'Has he been sent for?'He said, 'Yes, so open up.'When we reached the lowest heaven, there was a man with shadowy figures on his right and shadowy figures on his left. When he looked to his right he laughed, and when he looked to his left he wept. He said, 'Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous son.'I asked, 'Who is this, Jibreel?'He said, 'This is Adam, and these shadowy figures on his right and left are the souls of his descendants. Those on the right are the people of Paradise, and the shadowy figures on his left are the people of the Fire. So when he looks to his right he laughs, and when he looks to his left he weeps.'Then Jibreel ascended with me until he came to the second heaven. He said to its keeper, 'Open up,' and its keeper said the same as the first had said, then opened up."Anas said, "He mentioned that he found in the heavens Idris, Musa, Isa, and Ibrahim, but it was not established for me how their stations were arranged, except that he mentioned he found Adam in the lowest heaven and Ibrahim in the sixth."Anas continued, "When Jibreel passed by Idris, Idris said, 'Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous brother.'I asked, 'Who is this?'He said, 'This is Idris.'Then I passed by Musa, and he said, 'Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous brother.'I asked, 'Who is this?'He said, 'This is Musa.'Then I passed by Isa, and he said, 'Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous brother.'I asked, 'Who is this?'He said, 'Isa.'Then I passed by Ibrahim, and he said, 'Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous son.'I asked, 'Who is this?'He said, 'This is Ibrahim.'"Ibn Hazm informed me that Ibn Abbas and Abu Hayyah al-Ansari both said that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Then he ascended with me until I reached a level where I could hear the scratching of the pens."Ibn Hazm and Anas bin Malik said that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah enjoined upon me fifty prayers. I returned with that until I passed by Musa, and Musa asked, 'What has been enjoined upon your nation?'I said, 'Fifty prayers have been enjoined upon them.'He said, 'Go back to your Lord, for your nation cannot bear that.'So I went back and consulted my Lord, and He reduced them by half. I returned to Musa, and he said, 'Go back to your Lord,' and he said the same as before. So He reduced them by half again. I returned to Musa and informed him, and he said, 'Go back to your Lord, for your nation cannot bear that.'So I went back and consulted my Lord, and He said, 'They are five and they are fifty. The word with Me does not change.'I returned to Musa, and he said, 'Go back to your Lord.'I said, 'I feel ashamed before my Lord.'Then he took me on until he brought me to the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary, which was covered by colors I cannot describe. Then I was admitted into Paradise, where there were domes of pearls and its soil was musk."

يحدث أن رسول الله ﷺ قال فرج سقف بيتي وأنا بمكة فنزل جبريل ففرج صدري ثم غسله بماء زمزم ثم جاء بطست من ذهب ممتلئ حكمة وإيمانا فأفرغها في صدري ثم أطبقه ثم أخذ بيدي فعرج بي إلى السماء فلما جاء إلى السماء الدنيا قال جبريل لخازن السماء افتح قال من هذا قال هذا جبريل قال معك أحد قال معي محمد قال أرسل إليه قال نعم فافتح فلما علونا السماء الدنيا إذا رجل عن يمينه أسودة وعن يساره أسودة فإذا نظر قبل يمينه ضحك وإذا نظر قبل شماله بكى فقال مرحبا بالنبي الصالح والابن الصالح قلت من هذا يا جبريل قال هذا آدم وهذه الأسودة عن يمينه وعن شماله نسم بنيه فأهل اليمين منهم أهل الجنة والأسودة التي عن شماله أهل النار فإذا نظر قبل يمينه ضحك وإذا نظر قبل شماله بكى ثم عرج بي جبريل حتى أتى السماء الثانية فقال لخازنها افتح فقال له خازنها مثل ما قال الأول ففتح قال أنس فذكر أنه وجد في السموات إدريس وموسى وعيسى وإبراهيم ولم يثبت لي كيف منازلهم غير أنه قد ذكر أنه وجد آدم في السماء الدنيا وإبراهيم في السادسة وقال أنس فلما مر جبريل بإدريس قال مرحبا بالنبي الصالح والأخ الصالح فقلت من هذا قال هذا إدريس ثم مررت بموسى فقال مرحبا بالنبي الصالح والأخ الصالح قلت من هذا قال هذا موسى ثم مررت بعيسى فقال مرحبا بالنبي الصالح والأخ الصالح قلت من هذا قال عيسى ثم مررت بإبراهيم فقال مرحبا بالنبي الصالح والابن الصالح قلت من هذا قال هذا إبراهيم قال وأخبرني ابن حزم أن ابن عباس وأبا حية الأنصاري كانا يقولان قال النبي ﷺ ثم عرج بي حتى ظهرت لمستوى أسمع صريف الأقلام قال ابن حزم وأنس بن مالك رضي الله عنهما قال النبي ﷺ ففرض الله علي خمسين صلاة فرجعت بذلك حتى أمر بموسى فقال موسى ما الذي فرض على أمتك قلت فرض عليهم خمسين صلاة قال فراجع ربك فإن أمتك لا تطيق ذلك فرجعت فراجعت ربي فوضع شطرها فرجعت إلى موسى فقال راجع ربك فذكر مثله فوضع شطرها فرجعت إلى موسى فأخبرته فقال راجع ربك فإن أمتك لا تطيق ذلك فرجعت فراجعت ربي فقال هي خمس وهي خمسون لا يبدل القول لدي فرجعت إلى موسى فقال راجع ربك فقلت قد استحييت من ربي ثم انطلق حتى أتى بي السدرة المنتهى فغشيها ألوان لا أدري ما هي ثم أدخلت الجنة فإذا فيها جنابذ اللؤلؤ وإذا ترابها المسك
