The Prophet ﷺ said, "A whole community from the Children of Israil went missing, and no one knows what became of them. I think they are nothing other than mice. When camel's milk is set before one, it will not drink, but when sheep's milk is set before it, it drinks."I related this to Kaab, and he asked, "Did you yourself hear the Prophet ﷺ say this?"I said, "Yes."He asked me this several times, so I said, "Do I read the Torah?"
حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل حدثنا وهيب عن خالد عن محمد
عن النبي ﷺ قال فقدت أمة من بني إسرائيل لا يدرى ما فعلت وإني لا أراها إلا الفار إذا وضع لها ألبان الإبل لم تشرب وإذا وضع لها ألبان الشاء شربت فحدثت كعبا فقال أنت سمعت النبي ﷺ يقوله قلت نعم قال لي مرارا فقلت أفأقرأ التوراة
