Ayesha reported,

The Prophet ﷺ was bewitched.Layth said, Hisham wrote to me that he heard it and retained it from his father, from Ayesha, who said, The Prophet ﷺ was bewitched to the point that he would imagine he had done something when he had not done it. Then one day he made supplication, and made supplication again, and said, "Did you realize that Allah has informed me of what will cure me? Two men came to me. One sat at my head and the other at my feet. One of them said to the other, 'What ails the man?' The other said, 'He has been bewitched.' He asked, 'Who bewitched him?' He replied, 'Labid bin al-Asam.' He asked, 'With what?' He replied, 'With a comb, the hair caught in it, and the sheath of a male date-palm spadix.' He asked, 'Where is it?' He replied, 'In the well of Dharwan.'"The Prophet ﷺ went out to the well, then returned and said to Ayesha when he came back, "Its date-palms are as if their tops were the heads of devils."I asked, "Did you take it out?"He said, "No. As for me, Allah has cured me, and I feared that this would stir up evil among the people."Then the well was filled in.
