Someone asked the Prophet ﷺ, "How does the revelation come to you?"He replied, "It comes to me in different ways. Sometimes the angel comes to me with something resembling the ringing of a bell, and when it leaves me I have grasped what he said. This form is the hardest on me. And sometimes the angel appears to me in the form of a man and speaks to me, and I grasp what he says."

سأل النبي ﷺ كيف يأتيك الوحي قال كل ذاك يأتيني الملك أحيانا في مثل صلصلة الجرس فيفصم عني وقد وعيت ما قال وهو أشده علي ويتمثل لي الملك أحيانا رجلا فيكلمني فأعي ما يقول
