Fatimah bint Abu Hubaysh used to suffer from continuous bleeding, so she asked the Prophet ﷺ about it. He said, "That is from a vein, not menstruation. When your menstruation begins, leave off the prayer, and when it ends, perform the ritual bath and pray."

أن فاطمة بنت أبي حبيش كانت تستحاض فسألت النبي ﷺ فقال ذلك عرق وليست بالحيضة فإذا أقبلت الحيضة فدعي الصلاة وإذا أدبرت فاغتسلي وصلي
