While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was prostrating with a group of Quraysh polytheists around him, Uqba bin Abu Muayt came with the entrails of a slaughtered camel and threw them on the back of the Prophet ﷺ. He did not raise his head until Fatimah, peace be upon her, came and removed it from his back, and she invoked a curse upon whoever had done this.The Prophet ﷺ then said, "O Allah, deal with the chiefs of Quraysh. O Allah, deal with Abu Jahl bin Hisham, Utba bin Rabia, Shayba bin Rabia, Uqba bin Abu Muayt, and Umaya bin Khalaf," or "Ubayy bin Khalaf."I indeed saw them killed on the day of Badr and thrown into a well, except for Umaya, or Ubayy, who was a heavy-set man. When they dragged him, his limbs came apart before he was thrown into the well.
حدثنا عبدان بن عثمان قال أخبرني أبي عن شعبة عن أبي إسحاق عن عمرو بن ميمون
بينا رسول الله ﷺ ساجد وحوله ناس من قريش من المشركين إذ جاء عقبة بن أبي معيط بسلى جزور فقذفه على ظهر النبي ﷺ فلم يرفع رأسه حتى جاءت فاطمة عليها السلام فأخذت من ظهره ودعت على من صنع ذلك فقال النبي ﷺ اللهم عليك الملا من قريش اللهم عليك أبا جهل بن هشام وعتبة بن ربيعة وشيبة بن ربيعة وعقبة بن أبي معيط وأمية بن خلف أو أبي بن خلف فلقد رأيتهم قتلوا يوم بدر فألقوا في بئر غير أمية أو أبي فإنه كان رجلا ضخما فلما جروه تقطعت أوصاله قبل أن يلقى في البئر
