My mother came to visit me while she was still a polytheist, during the period when the Quraysh had a treaty with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the term of which included her father. So I sought the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ guidance and said, "Messenger of Allah, my mother has come to me hoping for my kindness. Shall I maintain ties with her?"He said, "Yes, maintain ties with her."

قدمت علي أمي وهي مشركة في عهد قريش إذ عاهدوا رسول الله ﷺ ومدتهم مع أبيها فاستفتت رسول الله ﷺ فقالت يا رسول الله إن أمي قدمت علي وهي راغبة أفأصلها قال نعم صليها
