We set out with the Prophet ﷺ speaking of nothing but Hajj. When we arrived at Sarif, I began my menstrual period. The Prophet ﷺ came in to see me while I was weeping and asked, "What is making you cry?"I replied, "By Allah, I wish I had not come for Hajj this year."He asked, "Have you started your period?"I said, "Yes."He said, "This is something Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. Do everything the pilgrim does, except do not perform tawaf around the House until you become pure."

خرجنا مع النبي ﷺ لا نذكر إلا الحج فلما جئنا سرف طمثت فدخل علي النبي ﷺ وأنا أبكي فقال ما يبكيك قلت لوددت والله أني لم أحج العام قال لعلك نفست قلت نعم قال فإن ذلك شيء كتبه الله على بنات آدم فافعلي ما يفعل الحاج غير أن لا تطوفي بالبيت حتى تطهري
