The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the best of people, the most generous of people, and the bravest of people.One night, the people of Medina were alarmed by a sound they heard. The Prophet ﷺ met them riding a horse belonging to Abu Talha, bareback, with his sword slung around his neck. He said, "Do not be alarmed, do not be alarmed."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, referring to the horse, "I found him to be like a sea."
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد حدثنا حماد عن ثابت
كان رسول الله ﷺ أحسن الناس وأجود الناس وأشجع الناس قال وقد فزع أهل المدينة ليلة سمعوا صوتا قال فتلقاهم النبي ﷺ على فرس لأبي طلحة عري وهو متقلد سيفه فقال لم تراعوا لم تراعوا ثم قال رسول الله ﷺ وجدته بحرا يعني الفرس
