The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, whenever he wanted to be intimate with one of his wives while she was menstruating, would instruct her to wear a waist-wrapper.Sufyan also narrated this from Shaybani.

كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا أراد أن يباشر امرأة من نسائه أمرها فاتزرت وهي حائض ورواه سفيان عن الشيباني
