A group of eight men from the tribe of Ukl came to the Prophet ﷺ, but they found the climate of Madinah unhealthy. They said, "Messenger of Allah, provide us with milk."He replied, "I have nothing for you except that you join the camel herd."So they went out and drank from the camels' urine and milk until they recovered and grew fat. Then they killed the herdsman, drove off the camels, and apostatized after their acceptance of Islam.When news reached the Prophet ﷺ, he sent men in pursuit. Before the day was far advanced, they were brought back. He ordered that their hands and feet be cut off. Then he ordered nails to be heated and used to brand their eyes, and he had them cast out onto the lava field. They begged for water, but no one gave them any to drink, until they died.Abu Qilaba commented, "They killed, stole, fought against Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, and spread corruption in the land."
حدثنا معلى بن أسد حدثنا وهيب عن أيوب عن أبي قلابة
أن رهطا من عكل ثمانية قدموا على النبي ﷺ فاجتووا المدينة فقالوا يا رسول الله ابغنا رسلا قال ما أجد لكم إلا أن تلحقوا بالذود فانطلقوا فشربوا من أبوالها وألبانها حتى صحوا وسمنوا وقتلوا الراعي واستاقوا الذود وكفروا بعد إسلامهم فأتى الصريخ النبي ﷺ فبعث الطلب فما ترجل النهار حتى أتي بهم فقطع أيديهم وأرجلهم ثم أمر بمسامير فأحميت فكحلهم بها وطرحهم بالحرة يستسقون فما يسقون حتى ماتوا قال أبو قلابة قتلوا وسرقوا وحاربوا الله ورسوله ﷺ وسعوا في الأرض فسادا
