A man said to him, "Abu Ammarah, did you flee on the day of Hunayn?"He replied, "No, by Allah, the Prophet ﷺ did not flee. Rather, some hasty ones among the people fled, and Hawazin met them with arrows. The Prophet ﷺ was on his white mule, and Abu Sufyan bin Harith was holding its bridle, while the Prophet ﷺ was saying, 'I am the Prophet, this is no lie. I am the son of Abdul-Muttalib.'"
حدثنا محمد بن المثنى حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن سفيان قال حدثني أبو إسحاق
له رجل يا أبا عمارة وليتم يوم حنين قال لا والله ما ولى النبي ﷺ ولكن ولى سرعان الناس فلقيهم هوازن بالنبل والنبي ﷺ على بغلته البيضاء وأبو سفيان بن الحارث آخذ بلجامها والنبي ﷺ يقول أنا النبي لا كذب أنا ابن عبد المطلب
