Bukhari also related the hadith of Ubayy bin Abbas bin Sahl bin Saad, from his father, from his grandfather, who said, "The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, had a horse called Lahif." This Ubayy is daif.

Al-Hafiz said in the introduction to Fath al-Bari, p. 262, after mentioning the statement of Daraqutni, "I say, the discussion of it will come in the following section."

I say, Abdul-Muhaymin is not fit to be used for corroboration. Dhahabi said in Mizan al-Itidal, in his biographical entry, "Bukhari said, his hadith is munkar, Nasai said, he is not trustworthy, and Daraqutni said, he is not strong." Based on this, the hadith would be daif because of the isolated narration of Ubayy bin Abbas, and he is not someone whose isolated narration can be accepted. As for the corroboration of Abdul-Muhaymin, it is of no benefit. Bukhari said of him, his hadith is munkar, and Nasai said, he is not trustworthy.Sakhawi said in Fath Mughith, volume 1, page 341, "The ruling regarding the first four categories is that none of their members can be relied upon as evidence, cited as a supporting witness, or taken into consideration." Among these four categories is the phrase "he is not trustworthy," as the poet said in his verse.
