The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah smiles at two men, one of whom kills the other, yet both enter Paradise. One fights in the cause of Allah and is killed, then Allah turns in mercy to the killer, who later embraces Islam and is martyred."
حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف أخبرنا مالك عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يضحك الله إلى رجلين يقتل أحدهما الآخر يدخلان الجنة يقاتل هذا في سبيل الله فيقتل ثم يتوب الله على القاتل فيستشهد
