Ubayy was brought to the Prophet ﷺ after he had been mutilated, and he was placed before him. I went to uncover his face, but my people stopped me. Then he heard the voice of a woman wailing, and it was said, "It is the daughter of Amr," or, "the sister of Amr."He said, "Why is she weeping?" or, "Let her not weep, for the angels have not ceased to shade him with their wings until he was lifted up."I said to Sadaqah, "Does it include the words 'until he was lifted up'?"He replied, "Perhaps he said it."
حدثنا صدقة بن الفضل قال أخبرنا ابن عيينة قال سمعت محمد بن المنكدر أنه سمع
جيء بأبي إلى النبي ﷺ وقد مثل به ووضع بين يديه فذهبت أكشف عن وجهه فنهاني قومي فسمع صوت صائحة فقيل ابنة عمرو أو أخت عمرو فقال لم تبكي أو لا تبكي ما زالت الملائكة تظله بأجنحتها قلت لصدقة أفيه حتى رفع قال ربما قاله
