The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in one of the battles when his finger was injured and began to bleed. He said, "You are only a finger that has bled, and what you have suffered was in the path of Allah."

أن رسول الله ﷺ كان في بعض المشاهد وقد دميت إصبعه فقال هل أنت إلا إصبع دميت وفي سبيل الله ما لقيت
