The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Musa was the Messenger of Allah," and then he related the hadith."He said, 'Did I not tell you that you would never be able to bear with me patiently?'" [Kahf 18:72]The first instance was forgetfulness, the middle one was a stipulation, and the third was deliberate."He said, 'Do not take me to task for what I forgot, and do not burden me with hardship in my affair.'" [Kahf 18:73]"They met a boy, and he killed him." [Kahf 18:74]Then they went on and found "a wall about to collapse, so he set it upright." [Kahf 18:77]Ibn Abbas recited it as, "Ahead of them was a king." [Kahf 18:79]
حدثنا إبراهيم بن موسى أخبرنا هشام أن ابن جريج أخبره قال أخبرني يعلى بن مسلم وعمرو بن دينار عن سعيد بن جبير يزيد أحدهما على صاحبه وغيرهما قد سمعته يحدثه عن سعيد بن جبير قال إنا لعند ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال حدثني
قال رسول الله ﷺ موسى رسول الله فذكر الحديث {قال ألم أقل إنك لن تستطيع معي صبرا} كانت الأولى نسيانا والوسطى شرطا والثالثة عمدا {قال لا تؤاخذني بما نسيت ولا ترهقني من أمري عسرا} {لقيا غلاما فقتله} فانطلقا فوجدا {جدارا يريد أن ينقض فأقامه} قرأها ابن عباس أمامهم ملك
