Abu Hurairah and Zayd bin Khalid reported,

An Arabi came and said, "Messenger of Allah, judge between us by the Book of Allah."Then his opponent stood up and said, "He speaks the truth. Judge between us by the Book of Allah."The Arabi said, "My son was a hired worker for this man, and he committed adultery with his wife. They told me that my son must be stoned, so I ransomed my son from him with a hundred sheep and a slave girl. Then I asked the people of knowledge, and they said that my son is only liable for a hundred lashes and banishment for a year."The Prophet ﷺ said, "I shall indeed judge between you by the Book of Allah. As for the slave girl and the sheep, they are to be returned to you. Your son is liable for a hundred lashes and banishment for a year. And as for you, Unays," addressing one of the men, "go to this man's wife in the morning and stone her."So Unays went to her in the morning and stoned her.
